Is Candy AI Free? Free Access, Limits & Paid Features
You can start Candy AI without buying Premium, but free access is a small introduction. It should not be confused with unlimited chat or a full trial of every paid feature.

What can a free user do?
The official free-user help article lists five messages across all characters, one custom character and one generated image. Its displayed update date is 5 May 2025. We checked the documentation again on 12 September 2026, but have not verified those allowances inside a new account.

The article does not describe a daily reset. We would not plan on five fresh messages every day, or five per character, without confirmation in the app. If your account shows different limits, use that display and ask support about the discrepancy.
The real entry screen
From the subscription page, we opened “Create Free Account.” The form offered email and password fields alongside Google, Discord and X options. The screenshot below contains no entered personal information. Opening this form is not the same as completing registration or testing the chat.
The visible form does not ask for payment details at this step. That observation says nothing about later screens or promotional trials. Before confirming any offer, check whether it adds a recurring payment and what happens when its initial period ends.

A small message allowance is enough to inspect the layout and the style of an initial reply. It cannot establish that a companion will remember details a month later. Use a simple, non-sensitive conversation rather than spending the allowance on repeated greetings.
- Set a preference: ask for short answers and a friendly tone.
- Give a harmless detail: say that your fictional character likes hiking.
- Ask for a suggestion: request a simple weekend plan.
- Change one constraint: make it a rainy-day plan.
- Check continuity: ask whether the answer still fits the original preference.
This is a proposed trial checklist, not a transcript of a test we ran. Record whether the app follows the instructions and whether you like its interface. A correct answer within one short exchange is not proof of persistent memory across sessions.
What changes when you pay?
The public Premium page advertises unlimited text messages and a monthly token allowance. Media access and token consumption should be checked separately. The screenshot shows euro prices in our browser; your region and current offer may differ.

Is there an unlimited free Candy AI plan?
The linked free-user documentation does not offer one. Treat claims of unlimited access as unverified unless Candy shows that offer in your account.
Can I keep evaluating alternatives without subscribing?
